Peggy (Calcaterra) Berkbigler, in 1986, founded Custom Travel Service. While growing the business year after year, she has sailed on over 40 cruises on most cruise lines and has led many groups to both Italy and Ireland. She specializes in authentic, personalized vacations in Italy and can point out many local restaurants, shops, sites and wineries that go beyond the beaten tourist path. She is a specialist for many tour operators and cruise lines including earning the prestigious title of Commodore for Princess Cruise Line.

Before opening the travel agency, Peggy was a Registered Nurse and volunteered for the Red Cross. She now gives back to the community by continuing to volunteer her time.

Donald Berkbigler helped start the agency with Peggy in 1986. His education is in marketing and finance. His business knowledge is invaluable in negotiations for the agency to provide the best value for our clients.

His hobbies include antique watches, unusual clocks, woodworking and WWII history. Cruising is Don's preferred means of transportation.

Donna C. (Wilke) Kaps has worked in the travel industry since 1970. During this time she has traveled the world extensively on over 50 cruises. Donna has worked in a variety of high positions including Owner/Manager of Uniglobe Associated Travel and Manager of Holske Travel Consultants. She has also led many groups for the Elks and other organizations as cruise tour conductor and travel coordinator. She has continued to further her education by becoming a certified specialist for tour companies such as the Walt Disney Travel Co, Apple Vacations, Sandals and Beaches Resorts, and many cruise lines.

Carolyn (Schuetz) Bierwirth received her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing in 1972. After a few years in the banking industry, she decided to pursue her dream and became a travel agent in 1977. She has lived in Germany for one and a half years, and has returned to Europe over a dozen times. She specializes in planning tours to Europe for special groups and with her knowledge of Germany and other European countries, she includes interesting places that are not included in general tours. She is a CLIA graduate and holds Specialist certifications for Princess Cruises, Disney, Sandals Hotels, Hawaii’s Outrigger Hotels, other hotels, and cruise companies.

Paulette (Lehmier) Benz has been a travel agent since 1987. Paulette has led many groups for the YMCA and other organizations on both customized motor-coach tours and cruises to the Caribbean, Hawaii and the Panama Canal. She has sailed on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Carnival, Princess and Costa Cruise Lines.

Norm Dowdy started in the Travel Industry in 1987. Cruising is not only his specialty but also his favorite mode of travel. Along with his love for cruising Norm enjoys quail hunting.

Rosa (Busciglio) Frankiewicz has been working in the tourism since 1986. She graduated from the Travel Career Institute (TCI). Rosa is fluent in both English and Italian. She has extensive experience with corporate travel, leisure travel, meeting planning and incentive group travel. Her favorite destinations are Hawaii, Bermuda, Canada and her native Italy.

Donna (Merlo) Opermann has been in the industry since 1997. She joined Custom Travel Service when they merged with Holske Travel Consultants in 2002. Her hobbies include playing golf and tennis in many destinations. One of her favorite destinations is Hawaii.

Mary Beth Westhoff has been in the travel business since 1987. In college she majored in Liberal Arts. Her favorite travel destination is Germany. Her hobbies include gardening, hand work (i.e. crocheting, knitting, etc.) and of course, the ”Red Hat Ladies”.
